HEYA, it's Sid
I am a visual artist, designer, and professional saxophonist from the enchanting Whidbey Island, Washington. Since childhood, curiosity has driven me to explore various artistic outlets. Whether I was drawing humorous caricatures, painting, practicing saxophone, capturing moments with my trusty Nikon D50 or adventuring barefoot through the outdoors, I was always creating and discovering.
In 2016, I graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Music Performance. After graduation, I channeled my creative energy into designing posters, album covers, and merchandise for Seattle's vibrant music scene. Self-taught in Photoshop and Illustrator, I seamlessly blended my hand-drawn creations with digital design, often losing track of time as I delved into new software or worked with traditional mediums.
In 2021, I decided to further hone my design skills by pursuing an AAS degree in Graphic Design from Seattle Central College, proudly graduating in June 2023.
Today, I work as a freelance visual and graphic designer, crafting designs and artwork for the music scene and local businesses. Additionally, I work full-time in Education at a Montessori school. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue merging my love for illustration and visual design with my musical journey, forging a career that celebrates and supports my unique creative style.
